The avatar world: one of relativity.

The avatar world: one of relativity.

Despite everything in the posts up to now, or perhaps because of everything in those posts, it’s possible to get pissed at the storyteller.

Some of the things mentioned were:

  • The storyteller needs the avatar. The storyteller wouldn’t be a storyteller without a story with an avatar.
  • Hardships happen for us to figure out who/what we are. (=for the storyteller to figure out who/what she is.)
  • Things unfold exactly as in our POV.

Combining all this may lead to a sense of immense power, bliss, and gratitude.

Combining all this may also lead to a sense of fury, frustration, injustice, and, basically, in general, great indignation toward the stupidity that is the storyteller.

Both are excellent directions to take. Most likely, we’ll take both directions at different points in our lives. In fact, unless we are aware of both directions, we cannot be aware of either direction.

If we don’t know the concept of left, there cannot be the concept of right.

If we don’t know the concept of right, there cannot be the concept of left.

In that way, left and right are opposite and yet one. They always exist together.

Power/bliss/gratitude and other associated concepts are the opposite of fury/frustration/injustice and other associated concepts. At the same time, both groups of concepts are one.

Without an awareness of something better, we cannot perceive a situation as bad.

Without an awareness of something worse, we cannot perceive a situation as good.

When we truly let this sink in, we can experience a sucky situation as something that sucks, and, at the same time, see it as the undeniable proof that we are capable of something better.

It deserves emphasis, yet again, that a sucky situation should be accepted as sucky. Do not try to make that suckiness itself desirable. In fact, if we make suckiness desirable, that POV specialization will bring us more suckiness, so we can pretend to like it. Continued POV specialization in that direction may make us entirely numb to what is sucky and what isn’t.

Thus, leave the suckiness as suckiness! However, at the same time, realize that, if we didn’t know for a fact that something unsucky also exists, we wouldn’t even perceive the sucky thing as sucky.
